Privacy

This explains what ServiceLow keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be got past.

What we keep

If you have an account

• Your name, email address and phone number.
• Whether you are a customer or a business.
• When you signed up.

If you list a business

• Your business name, description, contact details and address if you give one, years in business, and any licence number you enter.
• The parishes you work in, your services and prices, and your opening hours.
• Any banner or profile photo you upload.

All of that is deliberately public. It is your shop window — anyone can see it, with or without an account. If you would rather not be found through search, there is a Show my business in Discover switch on your business profile.

When you use the site

• Requests you send: the service, your description, the location you type, when you'd like it done, and any photos you attach.
• Bookings, quoted prices, invoices and reviews.
• Private notes a business keeps about a job. These are visible only to that business — never to the customer.

What we do not keep

No card or bank details, ever. ServiceLow does not take payment for jobs. Money for the work passes directly between you and the business, however you two arrange it. We have no payment system to put your details into.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell anything about you to anybody.

Who can see what

• Your request is visible to you and the business you sent it to. Photos attached to it are viewable only by those two, and only through links that stop working after an hour.
• Your booking is visible to you and the business on it.
• A review you leave is public, shown with your first name only — not your full name, not your contact details.
• The site administrator can see accounts and bookings across the platform, in order to run it and deal with problems.

Where it is kept

The site is hosted by Netlify, and accounts and data are held by Supabase, which stores them on servers outside Jamaica. Both are used as service providers to run ServiceLow; neither is given your information for their own purposes.

When you press a WhatsApp button you leave ServiceLow and are handed over to WhatsApp, which is a separate company with its own privacy terms. We do not see what you say to each other there — there is no chat inside ServiceLow at all.

How long

Your account and its history stay until you ask us to remove them. Ask by email and we will delete your account and the personal information attached to it.

Two things survive that, and it's fair to say so plainly. A review you left stays up, with your name taken off it, because removing it would misrepresent the business it was about. And a business's records of jobs they did — the sort of thing a business is expected to keep — stay with that business.

What you can ask for

• A copy of what we hold about you.
• A correction — though most of it you can edit yourself, under your account settings.
• Deletion of your account, as above.

Children

ServiceLow is not intended for anyone under 18.

Changes

If this changes in a way that matters, the date at the top changes and we'll say so on the site rather than quietly swapping it.
